Question
« on: January 02, 2009, 09:45:34 PM »
At Heathrow today I was having difficulty in staying 'locked on' to aircraft that were being picked up. No internet connection and shared data / network had been turned off as a result. Surely if a particular aircraft is selected it should stay locked on until i want to change it?

When you say "locked On" do you mean by using the  "Pan Map with Active Flight" button?

Yes, that aircraft should be tracked and stay in the centre of the map.

What do you mean with "Pan Map with Active Flight" button?
I didn't find this button.

Just above the Origin box in the row of icons under the File | Filters | Map | etc menus.

Are you using RadarBox 2009, I can't remember if this button was there in the earlier versions of RB.

I didn't pay attention to this button, I don't know why!
It's working fine. And thus I just discovered a new function. (I'm a new user and I'm using RadarBox 2009)

Thanks a lot Allocator

My pleasure :-)

Have you seen the video tutorials on the AirNav website?

http://www.airnavsystems.com/radarbox/video/

They are on YouTube too, but the picture quality is better on the AirNav site.

I haven't seen these videos yet. I'm too busy tracking airplanes. Just joking.
I'll watch them soon.

Thanks again.

Have looked at the videos but do not have the 'adsb only' button on the data list tool bar? that is shown on video.

Are you using RB 2009?

Do you need to move the map to uncover the button?

The button is only available in MyFlight, not Network.

my mistake - moving the map does uncover that button but leaves a very small map available - would it be possible to put this button elsewhere in a future upgrade. ie under the quick filter section or on the top toolbar

There's a simple solution - get a 22" screen :-)

I tend to operate with the ADS-B Only button hidden by the map - unless I'm using my 22 inch monitor.  You don't have to have the whole button showing anyway, just enough to click on is all you need.
