Title: Can I extend my RadarBox USB lead?
Post by: AirNav Team on March 19, 2008, 09:01:18 PM
It is possible to purchase longer USB leads, but these are limited in length by the way that USB works.  A far better solution in to buy a USB extender which uses standard Cat 5 Network cable and allows an extension of up to 46 meters without signal loss.  As RadarBox is powered by the USB lead, no separate power supply is required.

Examples of Cat 5 USB extenders can be found by a Google search.  For example:

Note: AirNav Systems does not endorse these particular products and they are only shown as an example.  They have not been tested with RadarBox, however, they should work as advertised.
