Hi There, Do I need to uninstall my other programme, to install the new one?
Thanks,
Will I need to start my polar diagram again, due to this nice upgrade?
Hi Airnav. i apologize for asking this as i have been away from forum for too too long but i was wondering if it now works with VISTA 64 bit? As in has it got proper drivers now?
Alerts - Is this behaviour by design? The sw doesn't alert for a second time in a day if a hit is made. For example. Earlier this morning I had an alert for 737 EI-EFR. This afternoon it's flown past again and this time no alert.
Saw this behaviour in the previous versions but wanted to test with 3.06 before posting.
Well the official list of suggestions/improvements includes a reference to
Email Alerts at consecutive days problem corrected
which kind of suggests that you're only meant to get one alert per day per aircraft, though I could be wrong.
Email alerts and on-screen alerts are not the same though are they? I'm assuming Graham means on-screen alerts.

OK, I stand corrected. I'd been assuming that the alerting logic was the same regardless of how the alerts were delivered - on screen or via email.
But if you're saying that that's not the case ...
- New/Updated AIRAC cycle: more than 100 thousand updated aviation database (airport, runway, VOR, NDB);
Hi Aerotower - I can't provide the runway centreline, but I can do an outline - watch the Outlines thread in an hour or two.Hello Rod,
Looking on Google Earth and Wikipedia, it doesn'look like a busy airport - how come it's the "busiest in the country?

It could be that running your SQL report in SQL Maestro puts a lock on the MyLog database. Radarbox probably then waits for the lock to be released, spooling to the journal.
I always close ANRB before doing anything in SQL Maestro - I've seen too many locked database messages to trust SQL Maestro to release it's lock. Its why I asked Airnav to allow user-written SQL queries to be run from within Radarbox itself.
I currentky have 2 duplicates on the list.
A fresh install doesn't work.
I completely removed all radarbox software from the computer (including the registry keys). Then did a reboot and installed v3.06b (full install). It installed OK but hangs on the preferences window why you try to input your location, etc.A fresh install doesn't work.
What do you mean here? The install wouldn't run, or it didn't solve your problem?
Airnav, sure you beta testers would have picked this up in their 2month test?
Anyone any idea what happens here?

I have a subscription and I am recieving the live network(Not today) but it is every 30 seconds not 20 seconds as it should be.
Thanks
Simon
Definitely referring to on screen alerts.
The scenario I have is an arrival at LHR might not be seen due to inbound routing but outbound would be seen so a second alert is needed by me. Maybe a feature request if its not a bug.
Thanks
Graham
Have been operating V3.06 for 2 days and everything seems OK

Hi Terry,
I am happy for you but it is hard to believe for me. Did you see what I report above today? Or don't you see this as "a problem"? If so then I can understand that you are content.
just to chip in my t'uppence (two penn'orth) worth. My RB clock is still an hour behind my PC's..

He did say that he sees duplicates but only when he orders the flights by distance.
Confirmed as a bug. If there's only one photo on airliners.net, and you selected "download 2 photos" in preferences, Radarbox doesn't download any photo.
That's one we missed in closed beta - sorry!!
I'd rename your exiting RB installation directory, then download the FULL V3.06 file and do a fresh install. Once you have established that it's running OK, then you can copy over any data files (MyLog.db3) from the old (renamed) installation to the new directory.
I ALWAYS do this when a new version comes out. If I want to go back to the old version, I just delete the new directory and rename the old directory to it's original name - easy :-)
Personally, I don't like 'upgrades' as you end up with all sorts of files you might not need. Windows upgrades are a case in point here!
I would rename your current RB installation folder - just add something like Original to the end of the folder name. This preserves all you files and settings in case you need any of them later.
Then download the FULL Beta V3.06 file and run this file to create a new clean installation.
One health warning, if you are running Vista, then it might nor be as simple as renaming the directory? One of the Vista 'gurus' will have to step in here.
That's good news - I don't like to advise regarding Vista, as I've completely ignored this iteration of Windows.
I do intend to try Windows 7 though when it goes on general release.
I was the MS DOS users who once said "Why should anybody want to use Windows (3.1) when you can do everything you want in DOS"
I've moved on since then - lol
These are optional, if you don't want to start again with nothing in MyLog
MyLog.db3 - this is the history of all the aircraft you have picked up so dar
NavData.db3 - this is the main source database that will have been autopopulated by your previous version of RB
Both files are in the /Data directory
What file contains my preferences, location info etc? is it DAT008.DAT?

I have done a total reinstallation and I am still getting 30 second updates on the live network(not 20)!
Help Please.
I think there are still problems with the correct showing of flightid's and routes. Here is an exemple: here you see two different a/c with the same flight-id:
No, we don't see anything - could you try posting again with the image either embedded or linked ?

He was quoting John's post, he didn't add any image to his own post.
One thing I've noticed on 3.06 beta - the vertical cursor/slider to the right of the Myflights box always shoots back to a central resting position as if it's on elastic.
Is there a reason for this?
don't know if this is being noticed before, but when i select a flight in the list, it turns white on the map ( all ok so far ) but then after a couple of seconds, mostly between 5 and 10 sec. somethimes a bit longer, the spot on the map returns to his original color, aldo the flight is still selected in the list.
even stranger : somethimes a other flight close to the one selected turns white, aldo in the list it is still the first one that is selected ?!
brand new user here just recieved the RadarBox today Software version 2.01 (CD in box) which version do I download to update to 3.06
Is your mouse then resting over the map?

I had that problem. I cured it by downloading the ANRB.EXE file (manual installation) and replacing the current ANRB.EXE file with it.
Uninstall. Download the latest v3.06. Install into C:\Airnav
You don't need any earlier versions.
Hi Tarbat I opened the link for manual install and got the following message.
I forgot to mention it also pops up a message after hitting okay saying it needs more information on the station. It is very hard to kill, because about once a second the access violation starts coming up.
Onother one...(http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/2553/avrb.jpg)
CoastGuardJohn , if you have a v3 beta already just download the separate 3.06 ANRB.exe into your Airnav prog files and overright whats there. That worked for me! The full 3.06 Download and I was getting 30 second refreshes on the realtime network, after substituting the ANRB.exe file I got 20 sec realtime updates.
Airnav please explain why!
Think you'll find yr pref./login info etc. in the windows registry.
Er, Tarbat, where do I find it and how do I get into this file please?
If you're not familiar with editing the registry, then I wouldn't suggest trying it. If you really want to take the risk, then just run REGEDIT.
AFAIK, there's no evidence that registry settings are causing these problems.
