Hi Alan,

Just had C2B3AF / 144616 a Canadian AF Challenger populate my db with simply "Canadair Challenger" in the AN field.

Hi SIGINT1

Im afraid we're with the gods regarding the photos that some records pull through, due to problems with the db structure

AirNav are working on this, but unfortunately it's hit and miss at present

Cheers

Hi Sigint 1.

Unfortunately there are no pictures of the frame in Airliners.  The system will therefore take the first and second photographs in the Airliners database with that registration. I have amended the database by removing the link to the Airliners photo and inserted a "photgraph not available "link.  Whether that will hold is as Marpleman states, in the lap of the gods.  As you can see from the information provided, the correct aircraft details are in the database and have been since its first flight.

To notice the difference you will require to delete the photo links from database explorer.  When you next pick up the aircraft the  "no photo available" link will hopefully come up instead of the ATR which is the only aircraft with that registration in Airliners.

Morning Andrew,

Added and updated with the following comments:
EC-KPN is a Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP c/n 172S10650
D-FRIZ unable to find any info at this time
My database shows F-GBEM as written off
018059 is 5A-LAF c/n 691 which is an ATR42-600 development aircraft.  There is no ICAO coding for this variant and therefore has been added with an AI of ZZZ at this time.
A28801 is not assigned by the FAA and I am therefore unable to identify.

Thanks again

Alan

Morning Alan,

A/c name, cn and owner missing
38159A / F-WWIZ another airbus test flight in db as AT="Air", AN="Various Airbus Airframes", and CN="####"
Andrew

Andrew.
This is the format we are using for permanent test registrations.  The registration is allocated to an airframe for a few days only and probably only two-three flights.  We will therefore not be adding construction numbers or details of the airline that the airframe is destined for.  With over 30 airbuses delivered per month and no regular blogger providing first flight details, it would be an impossible task to tie them up to an airframe constrution number then remove them a day or so later.

For the more permanent Airbus demonstrators like A388 F-WWOW we are including full details and construction number.

The AT='Air' is a result of the ongoing population issue.  In our database it is either set as 'N/A' or ZZZZ, as the registration could be used on any of the airbus fleet A332 or A319 etc, depending on the day of test.  The CN is set to'####' to denote we will not be tieing up individual test airframes as explained above.

The use of the ZZZZ is a special designator as designated by ICAO
http://www.icao.int/anb/ais/8643/Special_Acft.cfm

Alan-Runway31, you may wish to note it is four charactors and not three, as I believe this may need changing in the DB for some records.

Guys Hi, just a question please. Googling my plane's tail number for potential pictures N71YL, it acutally poped up in this forum discussion.

Just out of curiosity, what's the database used for ? Why do you track/record/store this info ? I am no trouble I just would like to understand what's the info for? is this a regulatory requirement or for the Airnav systems software ?

Thanks and good day
Denis

Hi Denis

I suggest you read my webpage about RadarBox http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/RadBox1.htm - it's advertised in several aviation magazines.

Hope that helps - do post any other questions you may have.

Hi ACW367

The reason why I posted this Airbus test code is because the latest modifications/adds to the db that have been done by Alan have been in the format "Test" for AT, "VARIOUS" for CN etc.  I was just trying to keep everything clean and in the same format.

Andrew
