Title: FAO Airnav - Routes Information
Post by: bratters on May 19, 2010, 04:19:27 PM
Further to the discussions regarding missing routes, this may clarify things for whoever is supposed to be filling in the gaps:

Currently MyFlights is showing 200+/- flights of which around 70 are ADS-B. (That might sound low, but it's about average in my experience. The most I've ever seen was 102 out of 250)

Of the ADS-B flights up to 50% can be European LoCost carriers and this is the main problem area. The following airlines have little or no route information:

TOM/WZZ/EZY/RYR/TCX/EXS/BMI/MON

Whilst I appreciate that details for these operators may prove difficult to track down, they form such a major part of MyFlights here in the UK that route data for them is essential.

It's perhaps worth adding that we're by no means 100% on some of the bigger operators such as KLM and DLH either. Summer schedules?

Hope this helps.

We will look at refreshing the data picked up from our source. The low cost carriers are harder as we need to generate new lookup tables.

Please bear with us.

Airnav - Has there been any movement on this ?

I have ever increasing numbers of flights with no routes shown.

Thanks

Refreshing data should pickup the major carriers. Though there are exceptions.

eggplant have a read of the link below, there are some carriers that we can't do much about yet.
