Hi John

I looked up all the C160 aircraft in my log(34) and linked the pics from http://www.planepictures.net/.

It's a German site so they have all but 2 from my list.  You need to use the full German reg 50+73 for the  pics.
Took some time but saves the wrong pics being downloaded

Hi Tom

I remember seeing this at the Hall in the 80's

Hi Kevin,

What was it doing before it was converted to Open Skies?

BTW, I got attacked and bitten by a Jack Russell terrier owned by a lady who lives in the bungalow next to the crash gate in Pollards Lane today. Luckily I was wearing heavy cord trousers or he would have taken a chunk out of my leg. As it is I have four very painful punctures in my calf.

Another chap there said it had atacked quite a few people going past so I've reported it and they'll be getting a visit from the plod after the holiday.

Who said aircraft spotting isn't a dangerous sport? :o)

Hi Tom

It was a WC-135 with the classic weather band on the tail.

I expect you can get yourself some compensation from the dogs owners if you were on public land.

Never a dull moment at the hall :-)

Kevin,

Thanks for the info. I was on public land in the lane but I'm not interested in compensation. I just want to see the dog muzzled and kept on a lead outside. If it did to a small child what it did to me it could kill it.

What I was amazed at was the lack of concern of the owners. Neither of them came over to help me or to see if I was alright or offer me a cup of tea or to dress the wound. The woman said, "He was just protecting me". I had to beat it off with the strap on my binos and even then it stood growling at me with its teeth bared. I have to confess that if the owners hadn't been there I would have booted it over the perimiter fence.

Yeh... the only dull moment was when I was taking the photo; ruddy weather.

The WC135 was converted to Open Skies in 1994 and was classified as an OC-135. There are several photos on Anet of this aircraft sadly none of mine.

I must get down to the Hall sometime this year.

Well Kevin, that pic of mine certainly wouldn't qualify for Anet.

I look forward to meeting you in the flesh if you come down.
