Interesting one on my box now - not yet on Airframes.org:-
3EB5DE   Flight GAFBU81    @ 9800 ft   Sqwark 1761
This is from the Tyne Valley with the best signals from the North of an East-west Line.
Based in Hexham - Tyne Valley
Best view for RB is North of a line between EGNT and EGNC  - includes OTA and Spade, to EGPH above 7500ft.   Can be TRUE mobile with Mobile Broadband feed to Network.

Had him in my area yesterday. It's a German Air Force Tornado but don't have a serial for him.

OK thanks - from the heights he is probably in OTA - usually have NATO troops on the Area at this time of year - other possibility would be using Spade for Electronic warfare and training for Afghanistan!!!

KC-135s are up from EGUN every day. You may be picking them up on their way to the Flamborough AARA.

KC-135 c/s QUID93 has recently departed EGUN and is on his way out into the Atlantic, waypoint RATKA. Should be meeting up with a B-1B Lancer.

Hi All,

Posting info about interesting aircraft would be more useful if posters showed their location in their signature. It does not have to be exact, just a rough location.

Terry,

I have not heard of any exercises on. A lot of those aircraft are up somewhere over these islands every day. There will inevitably be some increased traffic due to the NATO summit. In fact there are a couple on their way from the States now: ADFEB8  98-0002 VC-32A c/s SAM4333 and AE0406 99-0402 C-37A c/s SAM4393. They are due to be coming our way around 18:00, so keep a lookout.
