Freezing Menu and RB
« on: July 22, 2010, 09:01:51 AM »
Hi,

after I spent some time in reading different topics here, I could´t find the solution for my problem, so I´d like to ask in a extra topic:

I´m running AB v. 3.13 on a Win XP Pro SP3, Intel Core i7 860 @2.8GHz, 3GByte RAM, nVidia GT 240.

After RB is running for some time, it is nealy impossible to work with the software, due to a slowdown of all menues. I´ve tried to change the update intervals but this had no effect. Anyway, an update rate of 1sec should be no problem with this machine, i think. The network is not connected and the average number of displayed ADS-B flights is ~80-90.

Anyone any idea?

Thanks in advance for any help

What anti-virus software are you running?  Have you setup an exception in your anti-virus software for the Airnav folders?

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0i, but at the moment it is shut down, without any improvments for the RB performance. RB is still running very sluggish, for instance the repaint of the radar takes 2~3 seconds when I change the window. RB uses just one of 8 cores, is this correct?

Are you using the 64bit drivers?

I think it´s the 32bit driver:

Version 2.04.00.3 Beta build by:WinDDK (Copyright FTDI LtD)

edit:

CPU Load when RB is running:
