When you connect the preamp with the power, do you hear a clicking noise? if so its connected the wrong way and that explains why your seeing less.

Dear Support,

i have checked the preamp the cables are connected the right way, the 1st port RX is connected to the BT-12DC and the antenna port is connected to the antenna.

and there is no clicking noise coming out from the preamp or anywhere else

when i connect the power i get about 21 aircrafts when i disconnect the power i get about 40 aircrafts !

there is anything else i have to check ?

Hi,

Sorry we missed your earlier post.

That is strange, if everything is connected properly we can only think of two issues that may cause this

1.) The preamp is faulty
2.) You have local interference and when the preamp is on it amplifies it blocking other signals.

We will talk with some of our sites across the world to see whether they have something similar.

Hello alkhalifa!

We had exactly this problem  with 20 m kit on one system of our spotters community (2 kits was purchased at the Jan 2011). After long investigation it was solved very easy. Main problem - sticker with marking sticked on wrong side of preamplifier due this "in" and "out" are reversed, try to change connection (connect antenna to "RX" connector and receiver (injector) to "antenna" marking connector) I'm sure that problem will be solved after this manipulation.

Dear PavelA,

thanks for your reply and support,

i have tried to reversed the cables and connect the power, now i can hear noisy and clicking sound from the preamp :(

i think they were connected correctly, but the preamp is faulty.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Hello alkhalifa,

Strange. In our situation we had "poor reception" when connect power to "reverse label" preamplifier, when power off on it we had "normal reception" like without preamplifier. In situation "interference" (we try to test wide band D-220 antenna) we fully lost reception. RadarBox looks like blocked.

Sincerely
Pavel

P.S. Our situation was more simple, we had one working set and one malfunction and had possibility to compare.
