Thanks Guys, for now I have gone back to the original CD version as it seems to be fine.

I will try the 'fix' in the link later.

Hi Alan

Many thanks for your help and advise, much appreciated ANRB is working at the moment, but when I have to do updates to ensure that the database is up to date, and then restart the app, I have to do the full reinstall again, maybe a slight glitch in Windows 8.1, have advise Air Nav Support and awaiting feedback, but at least it is up and running.

One unknown from Home in France.

Thanks Neil,

I would think that there are a good number of users on Windows 8 now and its the first I have heard of that one, no other Windows 8 user has advised of that problem.  I can think of no reason why you need to do no more than the usual restart of the software to complete the Navdata instalation process and start up the software.

Please do contact support and advise to see if we can get that cleared for you.

Any other Windows 8 user out there experienced this?

Alan

Since installing 5.00.65, I find it very difficult following a particular A/C or Flight, I'll highlight it in the Interface list and it'll correctly appear in the centre of the screen, leaving the cursor on the same A/C, but will then jump all on its own to another totally different A/C and Flight - very frustrating - has anyone else experienced this?

Alan,

No problems with d/b. Just a reply to diddyboy #93 above request as he could not find the details and no it shouldn't be on this thread !

Jon,

Its always been that way as by default it is on Changed column.  However if you click on say Flight ID at the top of the grid you will see that it goes bold. Click on your aircraft and it should stay with it.  Click on flight ID again it will go to Italics, cant remember what it does but it will be on the forum some where and now if you click on flight ID again and it will go to the default again.

Clicking column headings - bold=sort ascending, italic=sort descending, neither=unsorted.

Hi Alan and Rod, I've got the three columns I'm most interested in the interface pane : Flight : Registration : A/C type and although the A/C or Flight I want to follow is "highlighted" the program will jump all over the place, with no input from me!

Jon,

Click on your aircraft. Click on Registration on the top line to make it bold and the aircraft should stop jumping around.
