Support has got back to you. Just a FYI for all customers who are looking to purchase Vista 64bit:

Our drivers are compatible with 64bit however the drivers are unsigned (like 80% of other drivers). Vista 64bit has a bug which does not allow unsigned drivers, there are some fixes on the Internet to get round this. However we provide no support for that fix. This is a Microsoft issue.

A bug?  In Microsoft software?  Say it isn't so! :-)
I believe Microsoft calls those "Features".

I wish I had seen item this before I bought my Radar Box the other day....now I have a nice lap top with an AirNavSystems Radar Box that does not talk to it.

A bit miffed. Working with support just now.

Hi Neil

I had exactly the same problem.  What I found is: do a cold boot from the start (not restart) and press F8 while booting up.  A new screen comes up with one of the options saying 'Disable Driver Signature Enforcements' (the last one) hit that button and that fixed it for me.  Hope it does the same for you.

I'll let you know tomorrow.

Had the same, extremely frustrating problem! The only way I have found around it is to press F8 at start up, this enables the page where you need to select 'disable driver signatory'. I then right click on the ANRB icon and select 'run as administrator'. It runs fine then.

It really shouldn't have to be this way when we spend £400 on a piece of kit though! ANRB couldn't help, thanks to Tarbat who did.

Good luck, Dave

Why not assign the admin rights to youre account.
Eve when you login as an Admin you don't have all the rights, you can easly tell when you want to delete something or install and there is a popup it mean you missing the rights to do that.
Another lucky event when assing the rights to youre account is that there will be no more popups for granting rights to a application.
another thing you can try is to rightclick on the application select proporties-compatibility-check the compatibilitymodus and choose windows xp (servicepack 2) sometimes this works also

Hey forum folks:

Just to let you know, I've got RB up and running on my Vista 64 laptop.  Indeed - plugged in unit, switched on laptop - hit  F8 scrolled down to "Disable Driver Signature Enforcements"  hit "enter"   BINGO   Flashing lights!

My sincere thanks to the forum. Also to some pals in another group.

Hope this all gets in documentation that comes with unit -  SOON !

My unit came from ACS in the States - it had old software - which was a bit of a drag to learn about updates etc. Also very expensive plus C$88.00 duty!! I should have purchased from the UK I think.

Cheers  -  and yes  I too noticed the network was down - again  thought it was me.  I will now use the forums.  Thanks to AirNav (nameless) support for their help ; it's so important.  Happy customers talk....

I have had ANRB now for a couple of weeks but have got very frustrated with it as I cannot get the hardware up and running probably due to the device driver being unsigned. My operating system is Vista Home Premium 64bit. Although in the Device Manager the ANRB USB does show up it has an exclamation mark against it indicating a problem. The problem is described as "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)". I have tried disabling driver signature and doing a CMD function without success. Can anyone give me some help with sorting this out.
This should not happen with a £400 piece of kit.

Have you tried either of these solutions:

1. Get VistaBootPro, and edit your BCD boot config:  There is an option "Disable Vista Driver signing"  .The entry in the BCD is actually loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

2. Or you can also use the builtin BCDEDIT and type
bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS in a CMD prompt.

3. F8 at boot-up, and disable driver signing.

Blame Microsoft for insisting on signed drivers and then making it a long, slow process to get drivers signed.

Hello Everybody

It was easy for me, yesterday I reseted my AMDx3 64bit vista based, pressed F8 at startup, selected Drivers signature disabled, and inmediatly Radar Box USB was recognized.
Thanks to Rod and the others for the help

We are still in the process of certifying the drivers with Microsoft. Unfortunately it is a terrible bureaucratic process that is taking much longer than we expected.
