Hi Michael
Got your PM, been busy today.
Regarding the network, it is up to you weather you run it or not. With 10,000 live flights to process every 20 seconds it is very processor intensive. Its easy to switch off, just untick Get Flights from Radarbox Network bottom left on the network page. That way you are only seeing the flights your rceiver is picking up om the My Flights tab
FTP ignore it
As a start I would suggest the following options
Map untick Vertical Tracking View
Tools/Interface on Left
Preferences - General leave as is
Preferences - Legends and Labels leave as is
Preferences - Radarbox Tick Share Flight Data
Photo and Aircraft Auto Populate tick all
Route Auto Populate tick auto popuate
Leave the rest as is
Click Apply and OK before leaving page
Preferences Home Station Data enter you Lat/Lon in deciaml format
Click Apply and OK before leaving page
After that its up to you alter any setting as you like

Michael, whats your PGANRB****** number
Alan
-
PGANRB10621
PS A massive thanks for all your help today
Michael
-
No Problem Michael, any further queries please ask
Regarding your PGANRB number, there appears to be a number missing
Alan
-
Hi the box says ANRB10621
Michael
-
Thanks for repying Michael, however theres a number missing, all stations have 6 numbers.
I was just wanting to look at your receiver on RB24 to see your coverage. As you are feeding you eligble to have a business account on Radarbox and will be able to download and install the RB app on your phone without charge if you would like it

Good morning pal yeah I am pretty pleased with the free upgrade, I have recently purchased a new ADSB antenna and its very good albeit that I am pretty well surrounded by trees on all sides that my range is only 170 miles, maybe i will have better luck in the autumn.
Okay a few questions is the flightstick better than the original radarbox of which I am still trying to get it connected and if I do will it clash with the flightstick?
What do the colours red green and blue signify on the radarbox screen
Is it worth getting an ACARS decoder and can I use the same ADSB antenna
Michael
-
Red climbing
Green descending
Blue level flight
ACARS requires radio and an antenna I believe
Flightstick will be better than the original box as it has newer electronics

Thanks buddy

Good afternoon looking at my radarbox screen i have Altitude GS IAS Vrate and squawk I had NM nautical miles last time i looked how do I get it back please, also on my mobile using my station I get the aircraft but no details but I get everything on the laptop, lastly I want to upgrade from my laptop to a bigger monitor any ideas what i need to do
thanks Michael
-
Michael
File/Preferences/Legends and Lables/Grid Visible Columns and tick Dist(NM)
Regarding the monitor, couple of ways you can do it, either by a computer and monitor or connect a monitor to your laptop using an appropriate cable, if its a newish computer it may have a HDMI port to connect to a monitor
Regarding details on the app, click on the 3 dotd, bottom left, click map options and move the slider for Show Labels and the sliders for what detail you want on the lables

Hi i am getting military aircraft in my log but not actually seeing any can I see them with the civil aircraft, I am sure there is a way
Thanks Michael
-
You will only see them on the V6 map if ADSB equipped. You may get them showing on RB24 if they are MLATable
Alan
-
Ok thanks again
Michael

Would be so nice to see on the map

Some of them should show ie ZZ330 was ADSB out of Prestwick for Brize earlier, as was ZZ338 ADSB out over the North Sea. The TEX2's usually show as well

Hi what is live MLAT please and how do I get it
Michael
-
You wont get MLAT on V6, but you can see MLAT on radarbox
MLAT is where aircraft are not sending their positioanal information in the signal you are picking up from the aircraft. However if there are 3 or 4 receivers nearby that are MLAT capable, the position can be triangulated on the server and shown on the radarbox.com map
The V6 software is not MLAT compatible so MLAT positions will not be shown on its map.
Your flightstick is MLAT capable but you would need to run it with a Raspberry Pi to display on radarbox.com
Alan
-
OK thanks again can you give me an idea about a raspberry PI is it complicated to install and will i need a second antenna
Michael
-
I know nothing about Linux but found it easy enough. A spliter may be the answer for the antenna
Alan
