I have no idea why the aircraft is miscoded ffa, why is any aircraft miscoded? Given the information do you believe that it is the aircraft it purports to be?Alan
Yes ffa, The hex and the registration go together. However as it is not coming from N99244 as we have already established it no longer exists it and the aircraft was flying outwith the capabilities of an ERCO, the hex must be being giving off by a different aircraft. Therefore as the aircraft sending the data cannot be N99244 it is a miscodeI would also add that the aircraft picked up by X was not displaying a flight ID. At least one tracker where US hex codes are concerned automatically details the registration which should be shown whether the aircraft concerned is actually carrying that registration or not.Alan
