Mick,
Where on the computer have you installed RB. Try re-installing.

Alan
sounds like a plan but the disc i got with the box is sadly the worst for ware after 5 or so years or is there a Alternative download somewhere?
mick

sorry C Drive Program files

The program files location might have some thing to do with it, that's why I asked. If it was me I would uninstall the lot of the existing install including manually deleting any orphan files and re-install to somewhere like C:\Airnav, keep away from program files. Remember to save any files you may want to keep first like mylog, photos, silhouettes, logos etc as it is the old ones from 2009 that will be installed. Replace the ones in the new installation with your saved files.
You will get the full 5.00.72 on the support page here http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRB50072Setup.exe Its a big 500 odd Mb download so will take a wee while.

thanks Alan
still seems a bit strange that after all this time and mind you nothing new downloaded to this machine it should start acting up like this im a little unsure about deleting the whole programme i have nothing saved to it its just basic use but sure if thats the fix then that's what i have to do thanks again

You could maybe try system restore as a last resort before a full uninstall/re-install procedure
-
yup system restore might be the answer again running Plane Plotter +Plane base and PBlink i don't want to go messing with those setting or impact on anything else its a tough one alright

just as a side note i dont think i have seen this before under the map portion on the same line as all requests done i have .FTP Upload Status connecting to 127.0.0.1. is this normal cant remember seeing this before
Mick
-
Have not got a clue about that but if you go to Preferences/General/ Screen Shot Auto FTP Upload, the host on there is 127.0.0.1. Have you ticked a box on there?
Alan
-
just unchecked the box and the message is gone but the problem remains no plots on the map but all still showing in the my flights plane
Mick
-
On the toolbar between the Airport selection box and the Quick List button is a Show All button - try clicking that
-
Does clicking on the Map View button do anything?
Alan
-
in answer to the two last suggestions nope nothing happened still showing a bakers dozen in my flights but
nothing on the map as he reaches for the hammer!!!!
Mick
-
Well I have given my suggestion as has Mr Paranoia so its up to you.
Alan
-
thanks Guys

Maybe even a re-install of the upgrade would cure it rather than a full install http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRBUpgradeto50072.exe
Alan

thanks Alan

The box isn't needing fixed, if you are getting aircraft on the grid, the box is working, if it wasn't there would be no aircraft on the grid.
May well be time to contact support as I have no idea why a fresh install has aircraft on the grid but not on the map
Silly question, is the map at your home location and does zooming out and in do nothing. The last user to have this problem was zoomed all the way in and couldn't see any aircraft on the map and pressing home and zooming out sorted it.

"The box isn't needing fixed, if you are getting aircraft on the grid, the box is working, if it wasn't there would be no aircraft on the grid."
Wrong Alan, when my RB went down, I was still getting planes at 5-15 miles, it's as though a heavy attenuator's been switched in - like your hearing aid's been turned off!
Send the RB back to W&S PLC for repair, usually a 10 day turn around.

Hi Jon, I understand what you are stating but they should still show on the map like I presume the ones you were you getting.
Mick is getting aircraft on the grid but not on the map. The only way they should show on the grid and not on the map is if they are non ADSB.

Hi Alan,
Sorry, I was typing a reply and my PC committed hari kiri and restarted itself losing everything!
It's a fair time ago so I may be wrong, but as far as I remember my coverage dropped significantly to around 5 - 15 received in My Flights, and maybe 2 or 3 showing on the map intermittently, with no real pattern to it, but as I say it was around 4/5 years ago so not 100% certain.
-
We will need to wait for Mick coming back on to see if he is getting his usual number of flights on the grid
-
thanks Alan And Jon
just back in from a long shift today and i have read Jon's comments it seems that jon has hit the nail on the head that seems to be exactly what's happening still populating in the my flights colum both adsb and non adsb
just not showing up on the Map so methinks its time to let the good folk of W&S to have a look at it also i have noticed that i'm getting lees aircraft than i normally do with my set up many thanks again to all who offered assistance
