Title: BROKEN ANTENNA CONNECTOR
Post by: G4SKU on September 15, 2016, 11:22:38 PM
I have a major problem with my Radarbox.

It has been in-situ for approx 4 years and I needed to re-locate it.

As I attempted to unscrew the antenna cable I found that, although only done up hand tight I could not rotate the collar of the plug.

I applied slight pressure with a small adjustable wrench and it suddenly gave way.

The problem is that the collar did not give way to the SMA connector, the SMA connector came away from the PCB inside the box.

I opened the box hoping that I could re-solder the connector to the PCB but I found that the track that the centre pin of the connector was soldered to had been pulled off the PCB with the connector.

Does anyone have a remedy that I can use to repair my Radarbox?

Is there a schematic or circuit diagram available so that I can possibly find an alternative spot on the PCB to which I can attach the antenna socket or is my Radarbox now destined for the recycling bin?

I hope that someone can help.

Thanks in advance.
