Title: Map Colour Schemes
Post by: RodBearden on July 22, 2008, 08:21:46 PM
I don't imagine that this thread will be quite as popular as the Logos one, but some paople may want to compare their map colour schemes. With the utilities website not active at the moment, why not post your favourite colour schemes here.

Download them into your C:\Program Files\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox 2008\Color folder.

Here's my current scheme, Terrain.

EDIT - please don't post your file with the name "default.mcl" - rename it to something else .MCL so that we don't get confused and overwrite our own favourite scheme!

This is my scheme, grey and very easy on the eye day or night. Not sure what colour to do my aircraft yet though.

Good scheme, James - can you post the MCL file for it so that we can have a play?

hehe these colour schemes are like getting married...

You like what you have got yourself, but then when you see what your friends got, you want a bit of that aswell!

teehee!

Very true - some nice ideas there!

Though I hope that with RB I'm never going to need sea depths info ;-)

Not unless you wanted to use ShipTrax and Air Nav simultaneously!

I guess there inevetably will be one day an incident, and heaven forbid witnessing it on RB.

Here's one I did for my laptop.  Based on grey, it makes for easier viewing whilst sat in the garden with the laptop, which isn't very bright...

I think this one of mine may already be on the web site but give it again here.

Now we've got version 2, I find that my old colour schemes don't show very well on the satellite images, so I've done one that I think helps a bit - we might get the option of a plain coloured background for text on the map in V2.1...

Just downloaded the new software version, like it a lot.

I notice that the satellite image obviously replaces the scheme for that given area, but where on earth do you toggle the satellite image on and off? Ive had to transfer the satellite image to another city 200 miles away so its not over my home area which im monitoring hehe

Try Map from Toolbar - Satellite Layer - then hide.  John

Here is mine.  I find having the airfields bright pink they really stand out against the black/grey, but do not interfere with the bright yellow/green/orange aircraft.
