Airlines use Zulu for Flight Planning and Tech Log enteries.

Indeed they do.

Though not, fortunately, in their timetables and online booking sites  :-)

Hi to all

After I instaled the new version, I copied the files from my old database (MyLog.db3 and NavData.db3) in order to keep all data, may routes and aircraft type were manually updated, it seems everything was fine but a few time later the data returned to it's original form !!! I don't know how to explain this, but probably an auto populate function made this.

There's a lot of incomplete data that I manually correct, but after the aircraft being detected again all corrections are cleaned...Does anyone knows how to stop this ?

Other question I have is the validation date for new rotes, aftre I introduce the new route may I insert date or keep it blank ???

Many thanks in advance and best regadrs

Hi Carlos,

Just one question. Did you copy the photo  pholder over as well?
If you did not then as you repopulate the photo's it over writes the data.

Just an idea.

Hi All,

Came home off nights to this one.

Had TF-CIB in MYFLIGHTS repeated 220 times. From the log it must have been on screen all night from about 8:30pm till 5:30am. For some reason could not capture a screenshot to show but the below was also showing on map EI-EFA etched onto the screen but not in myflights. Unchecked Process Hardware Flights and rechecked and problem cleared.

Apart from above glitch all seems good so far. Well don AIRNAV.

Cheers John

Hi all,

Have been running v3.13 for a few days and noticed an issue with TWO aircraft coming up on the my flights list with the same flight ID at the same time. Obviously one of them is incorrect. Only one of the two aircraft (the correct one) appears on the map.

Just had two Cathay aircraft come up as CPA905 - 7801CC (B-HNP B773) and 78014C (B-HUJ B744). The 773 is the correct one. The two had very similar altitudes but the"wrong" one had no v/s, speed etc... displayed.

It's very annoying as the flight ID gets recorded in the aircraft history for the "wrong" aircraft as well as the correct one.

Also had problems with 78018F and 7801AF coming up as a pair, and a pair of Air Macau aircraft as well...

Hi EGNXR

In fact I didn't copy the photos folder, just the two other folders, I'm going to do it and see the results.

John,

I've replied to this in the other post with the same screenshot.

So, do you think that this is a RB issue, or is it the crew setting the wrong the Flight ID?

It's not the crew... looking at the two flights mentioned...

B-HUJ actually departed 15 minutes earlier on a different flight so I believe it's a problem with RB decoding the Mode S.

It's happened several times in the last couple of days with aircraft coming up as "a pair" on the same flight at the same time. Picked them up on "my flights" at the same time on take-off from HKG and both aircraft displayed very similar altitudes on the climb out but the "wrong" aircraft had no other info displayed, and was not tracking on the map. Both remained on the my flights list until out of range and disappeared at the same time

7801CC and 78014C came up together... as well as 78018F and 7801AF... very similar Mode S codes. So possibly a decoding issue with the box.

Changes were made but database stills with a lot of missing data, specially routes that I manually introduced.

There must be a way to update data without interference of downloaded photo, why fields became always blank and data is loose ?

This is a known problem when pairs of aircraft with almost identical 24-bit addresses are being picked up simultaneously.  7801CC/78014C and 78018F/7801AF are each only one bit apart.

There have been several previous posts about this problem.

Hi
I have upgraded to the new version and for some reason my area of coverage has diminished severly. I have an outdoor aerial and my range went almost to Scotland on a spike and good coverage of most of france. Now id say its range is Bristol to the west, the coast of france to the south, east just about to London and North is probably just up to Gloucester. Im in Andover Hants. So could someone help on this matter please?

Hi Paul

I think we need a bit more information - have you upgraded from an earlier version 3 Beta? And are you using the real-time network?

There was a problem with RB versions around 3.06 (I think) where we were getting astonishing ranges in spikes that were caused by some sort of interference from live network flights. This has now been resolved. If that's the case, then your current polar diagram is likely to be realistic.

Hope that helps

Hi Rod
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I did a full install of the new version from V.2.01 (the version that came with the radar box 09) and no I do not use the real time network. I am only interested in the myflights part of this bit of kit.
I also use to have about 100 planes in myflights but im getting a max now of about 50:-(

Sorry, then Paul. I can't help - your polar diagram will probably increase with time, but perhaps someone else has an idea...
