Try a search for "Purple Rain" on this forum. Aircraft sometimes transmit the wrong position

As tarbat said, do a search for "Purple Rain" on the forum here.

It's the purple track lines that you get all over the display when the aircraft is transmitting 2 positions thousands of miles apart.

I have the same problem in the Netherlands with a GLF5 plane from the usaf.
Its flying over the Netherlands but it send its position some where around Amerika , but this is only for a few seconds then he stops sending ads-b .

This sounds like the one that's been bugging me for a couple of days now. This evening he was over UK. At first his height kept shooting up and down in tens of thousands of feet then his position changed violently from 20nm from home to over 1500. Totally erratic for about 10 minutes and up and down the columns on My Flights like a yoyo.
Pain in the neck.

For the record I had it too, yesterday around 1300 just to the SE of the Isle of Wight, bouncing between FL's 51 & 151. Thought it was very odd, particularly as I couldn't hear any radio transmissions on the relevant frequencies either!
