Title: Airnav Radar Box Registration
Post by: Tailwinds on October 31, 2008, 09:11:20 PM
My Radar box arrives tomorrow and I can't wait. In the meantime, I have already downloaded the 2009 software so that I could use the demo. Anyway, when I put my username and password in the two fields to get out of demo, do I simply use the username and password that apparently comes on a sticker with the CD packaging even though I will not actually be installing the software itself from the disc?

Thanks.

I think you may need to install the Radarbox drivers from the CD before you can get going.

Then enter your details and you should be away.

Yes. Don't run the CD setup program as it is the 2007 version. Just start 2009 and enter the username and password. Then connect the RB. If it asks for drivers then put the CD in the drive and point to it.

Enjoy the experience, it's a great piece of kit.

You don't need the drivers on the CD.  The latest drivers are available in the 2009 folder at C:\Program Files\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox 2009\Drivers

Ok, understood guys..but still alright to input the "Username" and "Password" that's on the CD Cover, ie, no need to go online and register for a new set for the 2009 version?

Thanks.

Just login with the details from the cd and you'll be up and running.

No need to register anything. Once the codes are placed in the boxes and you connect everything is up and running.

Royal Mail delivered my Radar Box this morning. I purchased it from a dealer called AOR. My package actually came with the 2009 V2 software disc along with the original disc so I've got quite a recent release if that's the right phrase. I was pleasantly surprised at how small and light the Radar box is because the advertising pictures always give the impression it's much larger. Anyway, I'm up and running and I'm glued to the screen at the moment. Just getting used to it slowly at first by just tracking with the supplied Ariel then I'll do the Network. I'm definitely going to need an outside ariel on the roof eventually.
